It Started with a Bag of Candy

Not a business plan. Not a market analysis. Just a genuine obsession with Swedish pick-a-mix candy and the belief that everyone deserves to experience it.

We discovered Swedish lördagsgodis — the beloved Scandinavian tradition of filling a bag with hand-picked candy on Saturdays — and we couldn't let it go. The variety, the ritual, the way it turns something simple into a real moment. We started sharing it with friends and family, and it quickly became clear: this wasn't just a snack. It was an experience worth bringing to everyone.

Deer Haven Candy Co. launched in 2024 as our way of doing exactly that — bringing authentic Swedish pick-a-mix candy to events, weddings, and celebrations all across Utah County and Salt Lake County.

We Built It Ourselves

Literally. The candy truck you see at our events is a custom-built kei truck — designed, welded, and assembled by hand right here in American Fork. Every rib of the curved roof frame, every panel of the aluminum shell — we built it from scratch because we wanted something that felt as special as the candy inside it.

That DIY spirit runs through everything we do. We're not a franchise or a catering company. We're a small family operation that cares deeply about the details — the candy selection, the setup, the experience your guests walk away with.

Family-Run, Utah-Rooted

We're based in American Fork and proud of it. Our home base is inside Deer Haven Flowers — our family's retail floral and gift shop on 50 South — which means when you book with us, you're supporting a family that has planted real roots in this community.

We know Utah County. We know the venues, the seasons, the kind of people who live and celebrate here. That local knowledge shapes everything from how we plan our setups to which candy varieties we stock for different types of events.

What We're Building

Deer Haven Candy Co. is still growing. We're out at farmers markets through the summer, showing up at bridal shows, and booking events from backyard birthday parties to full-scale weddings. Every event we do makes us better at the next one.

Our sister brand, Saturday Candy Club, ships authentic Swedish candy directly to subscribers every month — so the people who find us at an event can keep the tradition going at home.

We're grateful for every inquiry, every booking, and every guest who walks up to the truck with a bag in hand and a look of curiosity on their face. That moment never gets old.
